Geospatial Technology as a Business Tool
Making business innovation tangible through dynamic visual storytelling.
In MIS 306: Business Systems Analysis, I collaborated with a classmate to research the real-world applications of geospatial technologies—focusing on GPS as a business optimization tool across sectors like delivery services, law enforcement, and construction. I wrote, directed, filmed, edited, and scored a dynamic video presentation to translate technical content into an accessible, visually compelling narrative.
The presentation combined animated 3D models, layered smartphone recordings, and animated graphics to showcase how GPS data fuels operational efficiency and competitive advantage in modern industries. Beyond explaining the basics of geospatial tech, we explored the future potential of GPS, including integration with augmented reality, predictive analytics, and machine learning.
Why It Matters
This project highlights my ability to synthesize technical research, structure educational content, and deliver it through engaging multimedia formats—skills that bridge communications, instructional design, and technology fluency.
